Obituary

Jerald Richard Rogers, 72 of Madison, Alabama passed away at Huntsville Hospital, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Jerald was born on August 30, 1945 in Ohio to Charles and Lillian Rogers. Mr. Rogers was married to the love of his life, Patricia, for 52 years. Jerald is survived by his wife, Patricia Billions Rogers of Madison, AL; son, Richard Rogers; daughter, Joy Rogers Carter (Shannon); grandchildren, Brandon Carter, Jacob Rogers, Steven Carter, Shannon“Bailey”Carter, and Amber Rogers; sisters, Carolyn Hall and Dawn Todd; several nieces and nephews and best friends since high school, James and Donna Yokem. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Rogers and Lillian Yeager Rogers and his brother, Doug Rogers. Jerald retired after 34 years from Dunlop Tire and Rubber. Mr. Rogers was a proud Sergeant in the US Army and a Scottish Rite in the Masonic Lodge, where he was a member of Helion Lodge. He was the best daddy and grandfather and a huge Alabama fan-Roll Tide Roll! He was an avid fisherman and he taught the family how to fish, a best friend to all, loved to travel with the love of his life, and if you knew him, you loved him.
