Obituary

Martha Jane Rodman (MeeMaw), age 87, Madison, AL., passed away on June 23, 2018, at Diversicare of Big Springs Nursing Home, in Huntsville, AL. Jane was born in Athens, AL. to Johnny and Emma Margaret Pepper on October 19, 1930. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, attending craft shows, and spending time with her family. She also cherished her church family at Madison Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Curtis Rodman, 10 siblings and numerous other relatives. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Curtis Rodman, of Huntsville, AL.; son, Charles Thomas Rodman (wife, Judy), of Taft, TN.; brother, Hugh Pepper (wife, Sarah) of Athens, AL.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and special friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., at Madison Church of Christ located at 556 Hughes Road, Madison, AL.; the funeral service starting at 12:00 P.M. with Bro. Mike Winkler officiating; followed by burial at Madison City Cemetery, located on Mill Road just West of City Hall, in Madison, AL. The family wishes to extend their eternal gratitude to all of the wonderful people who visited her at the nursing home, and those who sent cards and letters from Madison Church of Christ and Bethel Church of Christ. Finally, we would like to thank the staff at Diversicare Big Springs in Huntsville, AL., for the special care they provided.
